Dropvault keeps sharing simple. Use the guide below to create a vault, encrypt files locally, and share secure links with expiration controls.

Quick start

  1. Create a new vault and name your session.
  2. Select files or secrets to encrypt in-browser.
  3. Set expiration rules and generate a share link.
  4. Send the link. Recipients decrypt locally on access.

Encryption details

Keys are derived using Argon2id and used with XChaCha20-Poly1305. The server stores encrypted payloads and never receives the plaintext or key material.

Sharing and access

Share links include a key hash and can be revoked. Access attempts are rate-limited to reduce abuse and protect shared vaults.
